Say Hello to R.R. Virdi. Thank you R.R. Virdi for taking the time to answer a few questions. Tell everyone what Stardust Always is to you. Why did you write something for it?
It’s for a wonderfully great cause and another chance to work with fellow authors and friends to do something awesome. There’s no thought needed. Just do it. I love the fact that we can use/share our medium and art to help raise awareness, as well as funds, to combat something as horrible as cancer
Tell us about your story. What message do you hope to convey to your readers?
I wrote A Bag Full of Stars. It’s a spin on a few fairy tales and references that will hopefully inspire people to fully their dreams since life is short, fulfill promises, and realize that our loved ones are always with us—always
How did Rickman and/or Bowie influence your life?
Bowie’s roles in certain movies (as a geek) influenced and exposed me to other creative worlds. But more so, it was the man. The things he’s said. There is a fantastic short video in where he explains why people should follow their creative passions, why we have them, and that we should never let them go. The same goes for Alan Rickman. There is a man who pushed his acting and passion as far as he could. Acting in things like Galaxy Quest and doing comedic parodies. Putting himself in thrillers like Die Hard. And then a magical children’s fantasy world like Harry Potter.
If you could tell them/ him anything what would it be?
Thank you for living by example.
Is there anything you’d like to say to those whose lives have been affected by cancer?
One day it will be cured—promise.
